The Atelier de la donnée Centre-Val de Loire is offering a free training session on Git, a version control tool widely used in software development and scientific research. The session will take place in person in Orléans on Monday 9 November 2026.
Led by Clément Plancq, web developer at MSH Val de Loire, and Barthélemy Serres, head of ILIAD3 and 3D and AI specialist at MSH Val de Loire, the training will introduce participants to Git and its essential commands.
By the end of the day, participants will have gained the skills needed to manage code versions and collaborate on shared projects.
The session is aimed at engineers, technicians, researchers, academic staff and PhD students, particularly those who work with scripts or source code and would like to become familiar with Git. Participants who use GitLab or GitHub for documentation are also welcome.
