From 16 to 18 November 2026, the University of Rennes will host a Franco-Chilean scientific forum aimed at strengthening research collaboration between France and Chile.
Building on the first Franco-Chilean Conference on Scientific and Academic Cooperation held in April 2025, the event will bring together researchers and academic representatives from both countries, including a delegation of 33 participants from the University of Chile, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Concepción.
Six Franco-Chilean research workshops will address major scientific and societal challenges:
- Climate change, environmental exposures and health
- Energy transitions
- Agroecology and sustainable food systems
- Infrastructure, work and sovereignty in the age of artificial intelligence
- Inequalities, political cultures and democratic resilience
- Decentralisation, territorial governance and sustainable transition
The forum aims to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and foster new opportunities for scientific collaboration between France and Chile.
